CFABS Vision:

“We are re-learning and recovering our living as spiritual beings having a human experience”.

The Center for Afrikan Biblical Studies cultivates and promotes communal and personal journeys that deepen and enrich our work with Afrikan spiritual principles of the cosmos which includes every living creation.  Our journey leads us to harmony and balance with the universe so that we understand and engage in the interrelatedness of everything.  As we re-learn and recover our living as spiritual beings, we are agents of transcendence, healing and transformation.

Re-learning defined as the application and implementation of reciprocity and relationship for the betterment of creation.

Re-covering is the re-memory of Afrikan cosmology which establishes the mutual exchange of energy, appreciation and respect in and for our journey and our humanity.

Paradigm of our Spiritual Journey

There are central and common spiritual principles that govern our recovery:

v  Each journey shares common experiences ( cultural, social, physical) although each journey’s response to those experiences is unique;

v  Each journey is a process of inquiry assisted by the presence of Spirit

v  Spiritual power and spiritual presence is always available

v  Affirming cultural and spiritual immersion can aid in spiritual living
